Sacajawea Elementary School Design Project

Funding is included in the Building Excellence V Capital Levy (BEXBuilding Excellence Capital Levy provides resources for school construction, renovations, and additions. More V) to design replacement or modernization of Sacajawea Elementary School. Construction will be funded in a future capital levy.

Project Updates

The nomination of Sacajawea as a landmark was considered by the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board on July 20. This hearing was to determine if the nomination will be accepted to be considered for landmark status. The Board did not approve a nomination. The proceedings have terminated, and the school cannot be considered for nomination for 10 years, except at the request of the owner. Learn more on the City of Seattle website.
