Education: Macalester College B.A. Anthropology; University of Michigan M.A. Anthropology; Western Washington University Teaching Credential
How I Got into Education: As a teaching assistant in graduate school, I realized that teaching was my favorite part of the program. I am forever grateful for that launch into education!
Hobbies: Swimming, walking, baking, reading, and crossword puzzles.
I’m grateful to be part of our wonderful Coe-mmunity! I grew up in the South Puget Sound and received my BA and MAT from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, where I also played basketball (go Loggers!) I have spent almost two decades teaching students in grades three through five and have been a member of the Coe team since 2018. Helping students to feel valued, love learning, think critically, and develop their passions makes teaching such a joy for me. When I’m not at school, you can find me outside hiking, mountain biking, wing foiling, or reading a good book. I also love cheering on the Seattle Storm and eating ice cream.
Come on up to the Technology lab on the 3rd floor to see what we are doing!
We could be singing songs, learning technology vocabulary, practicing keyboarding or mouse skills or creating a project!
Hello! My name is Paige Wilson, formerly Wakamatsu. Some students call me Ms. Waka and others call me Ms. Wilson, either name works for me. I am in my 3rd year teaching math at Cleveland STEM High School, and my 12th year as an educator. This year, I am teaching Algebra 1 and Bridge to College Math. I was born in Seattle and grew up in Issaquah, where I live now with my partner, mom, step-dad, and two cats. I love working with students and families and welcome emails/text/calls if you have questions, need anything, or have feedback for me. I am looking forward to this year and am here to support in any way I can. Here’s to a great year focusing on love, compassion, collaboration, and social justice.
I have been teaching 10th grade Humanities at Cleveland for 8 years plus my student teaching. I also have really enjoyed coaching the fastpitch softball team. I feel really lucky to be a part of the Cleveland team. I’m sure I have learned more than I have taught during my time here.
I enjoy biking to work, backpacking, reading, and hanging out with my little family.
