Hello! My name is Stephanie Tetrick. This is my 7th year at BF Day and I am so excited be part of the BF Day family.
This is my twenty-fourth year of teaching. I have taught English in Poland, third grade in Seattle and Costa Rica, Special Education in Bellevue, and 2nd grade in Everett. Teaching in Poland and Costa Rica were experiences I will never forget. It is amazing to share in other peoples’ worlds and see how truly connected we all are. Some of my other passions are traveling, playing/watching sports, and being outdoors. The love for the outdoors and traveling was introduced to me at an early age by my parents. Teaching is also something that has been passed down from my family to me.
Hello! My name is Elizabeth Dawson, and I’m in my eighth year at B.F. Day, and my sixth year in second grade here. I adore working here at The Family School. It truly is a wonderful, warm community.
I adore second grade, and working with our wonderful scholars! I believe in building a classroom community around empathy, hard work, kindness, and fun. I’m a lifelong learner and active reader; I’m also a movie buff, music collector, animal lover, and Seattleite. I’m a graduate of Western Washington University, with a degree in Education and a minor in Special Education. I very much look forward to getting to know my next cohort of “scholars” this year!
Hi! My name is Jenn Cooper (Teacher Jenn), and this is my second year teaching Developmental Preschool at Licton Springs. I have been a special education teacher for students in grades PreK through 8th in Seattle Public Schools for 17 years! In addition to my special ed experience, I’ve taught 3rd -6th graders in a one-room schoolhouse on Orcas Island, preschool students in a Reggio Emilia program, and English as a Foreign Language at Universidad Tecnica in Ambato, Ecuador. When I’m not shuttling my own kids to soccer and dance, I enjoy backpacking, paddle boarding, reading fiction, and competing in agility trials with my high-energy dog!
