  1. Approval of the 2023-24 Superintendent Evaluation Tool.  Approval of this item would approve the 2023-24 Superintendent Evaluation documents, as attached to the Board Action Report. (Materials added 9/12/23)
  2. Approval of the 2022-2024 Collective Bargaining Agreement between Seattle School District No. 1 and Southwest Mountain States Regional Council of Carpenters. Approval of this item would approve the 2022 – 2024 Collective Bargaining Agreement between Seattle School District No. 1 and Carpenters and authorize the Superintendent, on behalf of the Board of Directors, to execute the Agreement in the form attached to the School Board Action Report, with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent and to take any necessary actions to implement the terms of this agreement. Immediate action is in the best interest of the District. (Introduction & Action)

D. Introduction Items

  1. Appointment of Discipline Appeal Council Membership Approval of this item would appoint members and alternate members, as attached to the Board Action Report, to serve Discipline Appeal Council terms beginning October 2, 2023 and running through the end of the 2025-26 school year. In the event new members have not been reappointed prior to the start of the 2026-27 school year, existing appointments will remain active until no later than October 31, 2026 to provide DAC continuity as new appointments are finalized.   2. Approval of Guiding Principles for the Building Excellence (BEX) VI Capital Levy Approval of this item would approve the guiding principles for the BEX VI Capital Levy as attached to this Board action report.
