  1. Approval of Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) Beginning Educator Support Team (BEST) Grant Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to accept the 2023-24 BEST grant in the amount of $400,000 and to implement the provisions of the grant. Immediate action is in the best interest of the district.
  2. Acceptance of School Emergency Response to Violence (Project SERV) Funding for Ingraham High School for the 2023-2024 school year Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to accept the Project SERV grant of up to $493,923.00.   3. Yellow Wood Academy Amendment BAR 2022-2023 Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to amend the contract with Yellow Wood Academy, in the additional amount of $409,200 for a revised total contract amount of $1,400,000, for private placement of fewer than ten students who require therapeutic day services and programming, with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent, and to take any necessary actions to implement this contract.   4. Yellow Wood Academy Contract BAR 2023-2024 Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to approve the contract with Yellow Wood Academy for the total amount of $1,400,000, for private placement for students who require therapeutic day services and programming, with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent, and to take any necessary actions to implement this contract. Immediate action is in the best interest of the district.
  5. Private School Equitable Services BAR 2023-2024 Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to execute contracts with Spring Academy in the amount of $950,000, Hamlin Robinson in the amount of $175,000, Hampton Tutors in the amount of $100,000, and Ryther in the amount of $100,000 to ensure the provision of equitable services to parentally-placed private school students attending approved non-profit private schools, under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent, and to take any necessary actions to implement the contracts. Immediate action is in the best interest of the district.
  6. Perch Behavioral Health Contract BAR 2023-2024 Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to approve the contract with Perch Behavioral Health, in the amount of $2,000,000.00 for provision of ABA therapy for 17 students as required by their IEPs, with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent, and to take any necessary actions to implement this contract.  Immediate action is in the best interest of the district.   7. Academy for Precision Learning Contract BAR 2023-2024 Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to approve the contract with Academy for Precision Learning for the total amount of $1,200,000.00 for private placement for students who require therapeutic day services and programming, with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent, and to take any necessary actions to implement this contract.   8. Maxim Healthcare Contract BAR 2023-2024 Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to approve the contract with Maxim Healthcare, in the amount of $3,361,000.00 for provision of ABA therapy for 30 students as required by their IEPs, with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent, and to take any necessary actions to implement this contract.   9. Gersh Academy Services Contract BAR 2023-2024 Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to approve the contract with Gersh Academy, in the amount of $1,400,000.00 for private placement of fewer than ten students who require therapeutic day services and programming, with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent, and to take any necessary actions to implement this contract.   10. BEX V: Approval of construction change order to Contract P5188 with A-1 Landscaping and Construction, Inc., for the Athletic Field Improvements at Madison Middle School and West Seattle High School project Approval of this item would authorize the Superintendent to execute Construction Change Order No. 1 with A-1 Landscaping and Construction, Inc., in the amount of $693,274.76, plus Washington State sales tax, with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent, and to take any necessary action to implement the change order. Immediate action is in the best interest of the district.
  11. Approval of the relocation of one instructional program site for Interagency Academy School Approval of this item would approve the relocation of the following Interagency Academy School site:  Beacon at Youngstown site located at 4408 Delridge Way SW, Seattle, to the existing Interagency sites.

Approval of the 2022-2024 Collective Bargaining Agreement between Seattle School District No. 1 and Seattle/King County Building and Construction Trades Council Approval of this item would approve the 2022 – 2024 Collective Bargaining Agreement between Seattle School District No. 1 and Building Trades and authorize the Superintendent, on behalf of the Board of Directors, to execute the Agreement in the form attached to the School Board Action Report, with any minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent and to take any necessary actions to implement the terms of this agreement.   2. 2023-24 Compensation Bulletin for Non-Represented Staff Approval of this item would approve the 2023-2024 Compensation Bulletin for Non-Represented Staff as attached to this School Board Action Report, with the minor additions, deletions, and modifications deemed necessary by the Superintendent, and to take any necessary actions to implement the document.
