Hajimemashite! I am Keiko Ishikawa. I go by Keiko Sensei. I grew up in Japan and came to the United States when I was 23. After getting my teaching certification, I worked in elementary schools for 13 years (mainly immersion programs). I taught all grades, but Kindergarten during my teaching. Erstad, Craig

Erstad, Craig

IEP Teacher

cmerstad@seattleschools.org

I have worked in education for the last 6 years as an IEP case manager and Math Co-Teacher. During my teaching I have enjoyed working with students and being active in various service capacities on campus. While teaching, I earned my Master’s Degree in Special Education.  I am lucky to have found a true passion for education, meeting students where they are at, and helping them work toward their educational goals and potential. I am looking forward to continuing that journey with the students and staff at Lincoln! Prior to becoming an educator, I served 9 years on Active Duty in the United States Air Force, and was stationed in California, Cyprus, South Korea, Germany, and Afghanistan as an aircraft mechanic on the U-2, F-16, and A-10. I continue to serve in the Air Force as a Reservist. 18 years ago I met and married my best friend and we have been lucky enough to have two wonderful children Corinna and Isaac. On the weekends, you can find us running, enjoying the great outdoors, and having brunch!

Jen Fox

Science Teacher

jbfox@seattleschools.org

Personal Message

My name is Jen Fox and I am thrilled to join the Lincoln HS Design Team. I want to help shape a school that empowers students to become thoughtful, creative and individual contributors to both our local and global communities. To accomplish this, Lincoln will require a robust science program to support all learners to achieve their goals. I have been a science educator with Seattle Public Schools for 18 years. During this time, I have worked as a middle and high school science teacher as well as a high school science instructional coach. Currently, I teach high school biology to 8th grade students at Hamilton International Middle School. I serve on both the SPS High School and Middle School Science Alignment Teams, Hamilton Science Department Chair and member of the SPS High School Biology Collaborations. I believe students learn science best when given a chance to work collaboratively through scientific investigations, analyze data and discuss their ideas to explain scientific concepts.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, graduated with B.S from University of Washington, M.Ed from Western Washington University and have been a Nationally Board Certified Teacher since 2007. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, including two school-aged children in Seattle Public Schools.

Campbell, Cory

Campbell, Cory

Social Studies Teacher

cjcampbell1@seattleschools.org

Cory Campbell hated history class in high school. It was only as a young adult in college that he learned  that history is more than boring facts and dates, that it is an account of what happened, constructed by historians through analyzing and evaluating evidence, and it’s super interesting and important.

Over the past 18 years, Cory has taught English as a foreign language in Madagascar, preschool in Ballard, and High School Social Studies at Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines, WA.  He endeavors to help students see how history shaped their identity and empower them to make the world a more just and joyful place. Cory enjoys playing and watching soccer (Go Sounders! Come on You Spurs!), reading, and listening to and playing music. In another life he would have been a composer.

D’Amico, Anthony

D’Amico, Anthony

Social Studies Teacher

asdamico@seattleschools.org

My name is Anthony D’Amico and I am a Social Studies and Language Arts teacher here at Lincoln High School. I have been a teacher for about seven years now in Indonesia, Singapore, China, and now Seattle. I received my B.A. from Central Washington University in History with a minor in International Studies and began my career shortly thereafter. I received a Masters degree from the Singapore University of Social Sciences in Social Development and Community Leadership and worked for an NGO in Indonesia before coming back to Seattle and earning a Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington.

I believe that history and the social sciences are as important as ever. We live in a multicultural democracy and I want to cultivate a sense of civic mindedness in my students where we learn from and advocate for each other especially those experiencing injustice or discrimination. I love being in and around schools because there is so much energy, excitement, and potential. I am extremely happy to be at Lincoln where we all have an opportunity to create a long-lasting culture that connects our community to other ones in the city, state, country, and world. As an advocate and community member I cannot wait to help our students connect with ideas both locally and internationally.
