Teacher - Science
alscilletta@seattleschools.orgPersonal Message
My name is Alessandro Scilletta and I was born in New York City. I moved to Seattle 4 years ago from NYC where I taught chemistry, biology and physics for 6 years in the South Bronx, Harlem and Hell's kitchen. Prior to becoming a teacher, I served 10 years in the Air Force (4 active duty and 6 years in the Air National Guard) where I worked at a Boom Operator and a Computer, Cryptography, Network and Switching systems technician.
I absolutely love being a science teacher! Getting to geek out about science (and set off the occasional fire alarm) with our wonderful students is an amazing privilege. I would do this job for free if I could.

I am so excited to teach Language Arts and Social Studies at Cascadia. These are two of my favorite subjects!
Teacher- Math Interventionist
clpaul@seattleschools.orgI grew up in Atlanta and love getting back there whenever possible to visit my family. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do when I have time off. When I don't have time to travel to different places, I enjoy hiking with Albus Dumbledore, my Golden Doodle. Albus has been certified as a therapy dog, and I try to bring him to school once a week.
I'm one of the resource teachers at Cascadia. This is my 7th year with the district and my 4th year at Cascadia. I work hard to build relationships with both students and families, so please don't hesitate to contact me with your questions.

I have been a professional singer and music teacher all of my adult life. I have sung for local musical theaters and churches. Currently, I have a jazz band called "Hopscotch."
I have two grown children who attended Seattle Public Schools and they still live with my husband and me in the Greenwood neighborhood. I love to garden and cook and play with my dog, Molly
