Dr. Christopher T. F. Hanson (They/Them) has been a professional musician and educator for more than 15 years. They have taught in both public and private instituions, serving students from middle school to graduate school. They work with a number of state, national, and international organizations that support and promote the arts in education. Dr. Hanson has spent a considerable amount of their career working with community music programs and currently serves as the artistic director of the Rainbow City Orchestra. Payton Duff has been teaching Health and Physical Education for the past 4 years earning her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with a K-12 teacher’s certificate and a minor degree in performance psychology from Pacific Lutheran University. In Duff’s classes, Physical Education is taught through the lens of how to plan for a physically active lifestyle through constant reflection, skills-based activities that evolve into pick-up games, and working with others to improve on similar goals. Duff strives to create a learning environment where students feel safe enough to make mistakes without being judged or made fun of as she believes everybody is in athlete in their own way and that everyone can find success being physically active.
