I am entering my fourteenth year as an educator. I began my career in AZ as a Dual Language (English/Spanish)/English Language Development kindergarten teacher. I had the privilege of working at the same Title 1 elementary school that I attended as a child for seven years. My family and I decided to move to Seattle to search for new opportunities. I taught mainstream kindergarten for three years at Highland Park Elementary School, a Title 1 school, and as an English Language Learner/Bilingual teacher at Loyal Heights and John Hay Elementary School. I received my B.A. in Education from the University of Arizona in 2006 with AZ state certifications in Bilingual Education, ELL education, Early Childhood Education and Reading. I earned my M.Ed in Instructional Leadership with a Reading focus from the University of Washington in 2015. I obtained my certifications in Bilingual Education, ELL Education, Early Childhood Education and Reading from WA state as well. I am fluent in English and Spanish and am pursuing National Board Certification under the English as a New Language concentration.

I am so excited to be a part of the John Hay community. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and helpful. As a mom of a four year old little girl, I appreciate all the help and guidance I have received. I enjoy reading (all genres), spending time with friends and family, watching the Philadelphia Eagles play on Sunday (or Monday or sometimes Thursday!), walking my dogs (two adorable pitties) and going out to eat to new restaurants. I love learning about new languages and I am having so much fun learning from my students.
Welcome to second grade! I’m Mrs. Crosser and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. Second grade is a great year! There are so many fun things to learn and do.
This is my 21st year in teaching (19th year in second grade) and 16th year at John Hay. John Hay is a fantastic school and I feel very lucky to be a part of this community. Go Jaguars!
I grew up and was educated in Logan, Utah. I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in elementary education in 1997. I moved back to Seattle, and taught at private schools in Issaquah and Bellevue for the first 3 years, then I entered the Seattle Schools at Graham Hill Elementary. I was laid off in 2003 and rehired the same year. I chose John Hay at that time and have been here ever since. I received a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in April 2019. I love teaching!
I have a wonderful, supportive husband and 2 little dogs. I love reading, visiting family in Utah and England, and spending time reading and gardening, and just being in the sun.
My name is Tasha Reynolds and this is my 7th year teaching in the Seattle School District and my 32nd year teaching all together. I currently teach instrumental music to 5th graders and 4th graders if space is available to students at Dunlap, Rising Star, Wing Luke, Hawthorne, Beacon Hill, and Greenwood Elementaries! I love working with Seattle students in music.
I love teaching art at The Center School. This is an amazing school and community. I am a working artist and art teacher, born and raised in Seattle. Making and teaching art is my life’s passion!
