It is difficult
to get the news from poems
yet men die miserably every day
for lack
of what is found there.

Hello! I grew up on Mercer Island, and graduated from MIHS (1984). I received my BA in Political Science and Spanish from University of Washington (1988), and my MA in Foreign Affairs/Latin American Government from the University of Virginia (1990). I served in the Peace Corps in Ecuador (1994-96), taught at Charles Wright Academy (1997-2000), and received my teaching certificate from Western Washington University (2002) before arriving at Ingraham in 2002. I spend my time hiking, out with my dog, at the gym, and with my husband Don, regional sales manager for a winery in the Willamette Valley.
