Myers, Joshua
CTE Teacher
jrmyers@seattleschools.orgMy name is Josh Myers and I have been working in industry as an Electrical Engineer for a little over 20 years now. The first nine years were at the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO). While working at LIGO I also earned my Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University.
After earning my Master’s degree I moved to Sequim, WA, to work at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory’s Marine Science Lab. I worked there until 2014 when I left to start my own company focused on making smart sensors to make it easier for students and hobbyists to integrate sensors into their own projects. While working on this project I also worked part time for A-M Systems. In 2016 I joined Leidos to assist with their efforts related to underwater robotics platforms.
For the last ten years I have also been a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) mentor. I was a founding member and one of the lead mentors of FRC team 3826, Sequim Robotics Federation. When I moved to the Everett area I joined FRC team 2930, Sonic Squirrels, as their Lead Engineering Mentor. I’m happy and excited to be bringing these experiences with me to Lincoln as I teach courses related to engineering, robotics and mechatronics.
Ishikawa, Keiko
Japanese Teacher
keishikawa@seattleschools.orgPersonal Message
Hajimemashite! I am Keiko Ishikawa. I go by Keiko Sensei. I grew up in Japan and came to the United States when I was 23. After getting my teaching certification, I worked in elementary schools for 13 years (mainly immersion programs). I taught all grades, but Kindergarten during my teaching. I am a little nervous about teaching “older” students. But I am mostly excited to start my new teaching adventure at Lincoln High School!
Erstad, Craig
IEP Teacher
cmerstad@seattleschools.orgI have worked in education for the last 6 years as an IEP case manager and Math Co-Teacher. During my teaching I have enjoyed working with students and being active in various service capacities on campus. While teaching, I earned my Master’s Degree in Special Education. I am lucky to have found a true passion for education, meeting students where they are at, and helping them work toward their educational goals and potential. I am looking forward to continuing that journey with the students and staff at Lincoln! Prior to becoming an educator, I served 9 years on Active Duty in the United States Air Force, and was stationed in California, Cyprus, South Korea, Germany, and Afghanistan as an aircraft mechanic on the U-2, F-16, and A-10. I continue to serve in the Air Force as a Reservist. 18 years ago I met and married my best friend and we have been lucky enough to have two wonderful children Corinna and Isaac. On the weekends, you can find us running, enjoying the great outdoors, and having brunch!
Fox, Jen
Science Teacher
jbfox@seattleschools.orgPersonal Message
My name is Jen Fox and I am thrilled to join the Lincoln HS Design Team. I want to help shape a school that empowers students to become thoughtful, creative and individual contributors to both our local and global communities. To accomplish this, Lincoln will require a robust science program to support all learners to achieve their goals. I have been a science educator with Seattle Public Schools for 18 years. During this time, I have worked as a middle and high school science teacher as well as a high school science instructional coach. Currently, I teach high school biology to 8th grade students at Hamilton International Middle School. I serve on both the SPS High School and Middle School Science Alignment Teams, Hamilton Science Department Chair and member of the SPS High School Biology Collaborations. I believe students learn science best when given a chance to work collaboratively through scientific investigations, analyze data and discuss their ideas to explain scientific concepts.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, graduated with B.S from University of Washington, M.Ed from Western Washington University and have been a Nationally Board Certified Teacher since 2007. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family, including two school-aged children in Seattle Public Schools.
Fox, Jonathan
Language Arts Teacher
jefox@seattleschools.orgJonathan Fox has been teaching English language arts at Lincoln since 2019. Before that, he taught at Jane Addams Middle School and student-taught at Rainier Beach High School and Cleveland High School.
A creative writing and literature major in college, and a freelance writer and editor after graduating, Mr. Fox comes to the classroom with a dual appreciation of the joy and utility of artful, lucid writing and close, thoughtful reading.
Goehring, Katie
Activities Coordinator/Leadership teacher
kmgoehring@seattleschools.orgI first entered Lincoln as an ELA teacher when it reopened in 2019. I’m excited to be returning this year in the role Activities Coordinator/Leadership teacher. My goal is to focus on the larger systems within education and see how we can make changes to create schools that are more equitable for students.
Greenbaum, Victoria
Orchestra Director
vigreenbaum@seattleschools.orgPersonal Message
Vicky Greenbaum looks forward to working with Lincoln orchestras. She enjoys conducting all kinds of orchestral musicians. Vicky happily conducted the Washington Middle School orchestras for a year, and she guest conducted at Garfield, Roosevelt, Ballard and Jane Addams the year before that. In California, she spent 22 years directing high school musicians in the Menlo Orchestra and Chamber Music program, in addition to the Art of Sound Summer Brass Institute, where she loved collaborating with members of the San Francisco Symphony and other important orchestras to educate talented young brass players. Vicky has conducted opera, musicals, and orchestras in schools in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts. Since her 1985 debut in Berkeley, when she accidentally ended up conducting Handel’s Messiah with Berkeley Chorus, she has been invited to conduct a number of other orchestras, on purpose. As a professional violinist, she worked in Los Angeles, Houston and New York after studies with Robert Lipsett of CSU Northridge and Sally Thomas of the Juilliard School. But she never forgets her start in 7th grade beginning orchestra, where she tried Mr. Greco’s patience by zoning out in the back of the violin section, being out of tune, in the wrong measure, and trying to play all the melodies by ear.
Hanigan, Kate
IEP Teacher
kahanigan@seattleschools.orgPersonal Message
I began my teaching career in the East Bay of San Francisco while attending the teacher credential program at Santa Clara University. While working as a high school resource classroom teacher and coaching youth soccer, I continued my education at SCU and completed a Master of Arts in Special Education. I currently hold teaching endorsements in social studies, history, ELL, and special education.
In 2004, my three sons and I moved back to my home town in Southwest Washington where I continued to work as an IEP teacher and case manager. Throughout my teaching career I have been most passionate about supporting students in their individual journeys. I am dedicated to providing all learners with opportunities that guide them to discover their unique strengths and abilities as high school students and as members of their communities. Additionally, I believe teachers should be role models as life-long learners. This belief led me to complete a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of Portland before relocating to Seattle in the summer of 2018.
I am looking forward to working with such a great educational community at Lincoln High School.
