Seattle Public Schools

I have been your librarian since we were in the old building, and love talking about books with young people. Originally from the Midwest, I earned my teaching and library degrees at the University of Washington and a master's from Western. I am proud to be part of Seattle Public Schools.  Children inspire me.

When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, gardening, being outdoors with my dog, and cheering for the Storm or UW basketball with my husband or daughter. I also have lots of loud fun performing in the percussion section of the Rainbow City Orchestra.

I have been working in education since 2015 and have been working at Roxhill since 2021. I believe every student has so much creativity and artistic ability inside and I love being able to bring that out of them! Seeing students grow artistically, socially, emotionally, and academically from year to year is one of my greatest joys as a teacher. In my free time I love hanging out with my pug Lucy, doing ceramics, going to concerts, and traveling! - Ms. Binkow

Green Lake elementary is a fabulous place to be.  I love getting to help make the building run more smoothly so staff can get down to the awesome work of helping our students grow and learn.
