I have taught various grades in my teaching career and have enjoyed them all. Currently, I am delighted to be teaching 1st grade.

Personal Message

Hi! I am very excited to join the Viewlands staff.  I have been a speech language pathologist for the past 18 years (12 in another Washington district and 6 in California). I look forward to working with the students, families, and staff at Viewlands Elementary School.  Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time with my family and going to Disneyland.

Biography

I joined the Bryant staff in 2010 and love teaching 2nd grade! In addition to our regular curriculum, students in my class read Charlotte's Web and learn how to read aloud picture books to K-1 classes. I also teach an after school class called Chance Champs, which provides math extension opportunities around probability. In my free time, I enjoy playing poker, snuggling my two cats, consuming visual media, and playing drums in the Rainbow City marching band and Reign FC's Rain City Riot.

Personal Message

My goal is to help all of my English learners to be successful students capable of navigating the academic and social language objectives.  I believe in a full-child approach to teaching English.  I try to incorporate student interests and create fun, yet challenging lesson plans tailored to the learning style of each student.
