jdbrannan@seattleschools.org

I have been teaching at Coe Elementary School since 2001.  Although I currently teach 5th grade, I have also taught 3rd and 4th grade here at Coe. Prior to teaching, I worked in the technology industry and taught English in Hokkaido, Japan. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, skiing, and cooking.

Bedell, Julie

2nd Grade Teacher

jlbedell@seattleschools.org

I love Coe!  I've either had my own children at Coe, or been teaching at Coe since 1996! Teaching 2nd grade is rewarding in so many ways. Second graders can learn so much! Reading, writing, spelling, math, science, and social studies are our academic focuses.  I love watching my students' reading levels grow and their mathematical thinking expand.  I enjoy watching my students learn about different cultures and countries through our study of the continents of the world. Teaching dyslexic and dysgraphic students is one of my passions. When I'm not teaching I am tutoring, cooking, gardening, studying on so many topics, and enjoying my family, including my dog, Loki.

Biography

Hello! My name is Paige Wilson, formerly Wakamatsu. Some students call me Ms. Waka and others call me Ms. Wilson, either name works for me. I am in my 3rd year teaching math at Cleveland STEM High School, and my 12th year as an educator. This year, I am teaching Algebra 1 and Bridge to College Math. I was born in Seattle and grew up in Issaquah, where I live now with my partner, mom, step-dad, and two cats. I love working with students and families and welcome emails/text/calls if you have questions, need anything, or have feedback for me. I am looking forward to this year and am here to support in any way I can. Here's to a great year focusing on love, compassion, collaboration, and social justice.

Williams Leach, Rebecca

Humanities Teacher

rjwilliams1@seattleschools.org

I have been teaching 10th grade Humanities at Cleveland for 8 years plus my student teaching. I also have really enjoyed coaching the fastpitch softball team. I feel really lucky to be a part of the Cleveland team. I'm sure I have learned more than I have taught during my time here.

I enjoy biking to work, backpacking, reading, and hanging out with my little family.

Hi, I have been teaching Mandarin Chinese at Cleveland since 2010. I grew up in Taiwan, moved to Ohio, then moved to Seattle in 2008.

I graduated from Ohio State University with a PhD in education. I enjoy teaching and have always dreamt of becoming a teacher. I like spending my free time taking care of my plants, playing with my cats: Greggy and Charlie, and hanging out with my family.

I look forward to the upcoming year teaching my wonderful students.
