Bailey Gatzert Students Receive New Nike Shoes

Putting their best foot forward just got easier—and more stylish—for all 455 students at Bailey Gatzert Elementary. Thanks to a heartwarming partnership with Shoes That Fit and Nordstrom, every student received a brand-new pair of Nike shoes, plus socks, shoe charms, and a swag bag during a special event in October.

Organized by Family Support Worker Keith Ervin, the celebration welcomed Seattle Storm’s Jewel Lloyd as guest of honor, adding star power to a day filled with smiles and community spirit. As one first grader put it, “I cannot stop smiling!”

The initiative highlights the power of collaboration in supporting students and building a stronger school community—one step at a time.
