Enriching Teaching and Learning Through the Use of Technology

Each school in Seattle Public Schools has one or two Education Technology Leaders (ETs) who support staff on using technology in impactful ways with students. ETs are teaching staff — classroom teachers, librarians, specialists — who work closely with building leadership and the district Digital Learning Specialists.

In the 2023-2024 school year, ETs will be supporting teachers on how to use digital tools to create challenging, culturally-appropriate, inclusive environments and learning opportunities for students.  Digital tools offer unique possibilities for giving students a platform to share their voices, stories, experiences, and knowledge.  ETs will be working with their staff on uncovering these possibilities, and thus building students’ confidence as scholars and increase their learning outcomes.
