Social Studies Teacher
mbmcnaul@seattleschools.orgBiography
I have been teaching at the Seattle World School for 17 years. I teach Social Studies, usually 9th grade World History and 11th grade US History. I think studying History is a great way to learn to read, write and communicate in English, to learn about how our world and country have developed and to think like a historian- so we can continue to learn about and understand the world around us.

It is great to be part of such a multicultural and dynamic community at
Seattle World School! I learn from my students and colleagues everyday.
I like to help my students think like historians and share their voices
and experiences. I partner with Seattle institutions such as Jack
Straw Productions and MOHAI to make our
learning more experiential and hands-on. Please let me know if you have
ideas for future class projects!
