Teacher - Math
asahmed@seattleschools.orgName: Abdulqadir Ahmed
Pronouns: He/Him
Education: Western Governors University, B.A. Mathematics; Arizona State University, M.Ed.
How I got Into Education: The reason why I chose education is because of one old Somali proverb that says, "bar ama baro" which translates to "teach or learn". This old saying has inspired me to become a teacher. I see teaching as transferring knowledge to the next generation.
2nd Grade Teacher
pataylorperr@seattleschools.org(She/Her/Hers) I've been teaching in Seattle Public Schools since 2019 and joined the amazing Madrona community in 2021! I have a bachelor's in art education and my master's in Elementary Education. I teach here because I love the brilliance and creativity of our amazing students. I’m passionate about making learning a joyful and meaningful experience for all.
Teacher - 4th/5th Grade
reschilke@seattleschools.orgI am a partner, a discoverer of hidden talents, a coach, a guide, and a learner here at Viewlands Elementary for the past 8 years. Teaching is a lifestyle that encompasses my greatest beliefs and faith in humanity and my wildest hopes for the future of our neighborhoods, nation, and world. When I'm not in a classroom, I love exploring in my camper, reading with a cup of tea in my hand, digging in my garden, or playing games with my family.
Teacher - 3rd Grade
jcmeagher@seattleschools.orgHola! I’m Ms. Meagher (MAW-her). This is my 9th year teaching third grade at Viewlands Elementary. I was born in Washington state and completed my undergrad and graduate degrees at the UW. I love to read, drink tea, walk my dog in the sunshine, and travel to places I have never been. I am very proud of my Latinx identity and the ways I connect to the cultures and traditions of my Mexican roots.
