Hi! My name is Lauren Bangasser and I am the Physical Education teacher at Viewlands. Outside of work I can be found biking, skiing, dancing, hiking, walking my dog around Green Lake, and playing soccer and Ultimate frisbee. I look forward to working with our students and sharing my love of physical activity with them. I believe that movement is for everybody and it is my goal to help all of our students find different ways of moving that bring them joy, allow them to connect with their peers, and build their skills and confidence for an active life.

I’m very excited to join the Lincoln staff as an IEP teacher for the upcoming school year! I was born and raised in Central California, earned my BA in History of Public Policy at UC Santa Barbara, and then lived in NYC for three years before completing my teaching certificate and MA in Curriculum and Instruction at Cal State Bakersfield. My wife and I moved to Seattle in 2021 and love being up here. When I’m not at work, I like to take a walk, catch up on music and podcasts, or catch a live show in the area. Can’t wait to get started at Lincoln!
