I'm so very excited and elated to teach at Lincoln! My goal is to share my love of design-thinking and skill-building with students, as well as the joys of finding career opportunities and building pathways.

I'm a Seattle native -- growing up in Bellevue, with lots of time in Wallingford, West Seattle, Magnolia, and Queen Anne. I graduated from UW with a degree in advertising. My professional life started at Nordstrom (during high school and college), then as an art director for many really cool Seattle advertising agencies, as a creative director, a freelance illustrator and designer. My journey brought me to teaching, beginning at The Center School in 2001, as part of the original design team. I like to share time with my husband, three adult children (when they're not too busy living their own best lives!), and our dog, Woody.

Hey, Lynx! I am so excited to join of the community at Lincoln. I grew up in Edmonds and fell in love with the Puget Sound at young age. For awhile, I was determined to become a marine biologist, so I volunteered at the Seattle Aquarium throughout high school. However, I discovered a passion for sharing the magic of science with others, so I decided to pursue a career in education. I attended Gonzaga University in Spokane (Go Zags!) where I received my B.A. in Biology and my Secondary Education Teaching Certification. The highlight of my undergrad experience was studying abroad in the Turks and Caicos Islands. There, I scuba dived and completed research on sea turtle and eagle ray conservation.
After graduation, I stayed in Spokane and taught high school Biology and AP Biology. I am thrilled to be back home on this side of the state where I am closer to my family, the ocean, and amazing coffee. When I am not teaching, you can expect to find me doing yoga, looking for sea shells at the beach, watching Gonzaga basketball, or listening to true crime podcasts at a coffee shop.

I am excited to teach AP Psychology and Health at Lincoln! I have always loved learning and teaching. During my undergraduate studies, I pursued a B.A. in Biology and Women’s Studies and a minor in Psychology. I earned a medical degree from the University of Washington and completed a residency in Psychiatry. I enjoyed the opportunity to teach medical students and junior physicians over the years and ran a private psychiatric practice for over a decade. I look forward to continuing to bring my passion for psychology and health and my industry experience to the classroom. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, watching movies, and taking long walks with my dog.

Hello hello!

My name is Zach Long (he/him). I am relatively new to the Seattle area, as I moved here in 2021 to begin my graduate degree in the Language, Literacy, and Culture program at the University of Washington College of Education. I was raised in Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin where I received a B.S. in Communication Studies in 2018. I then taught English Language Arts in the Austin area for 3 years. I am passionate about authentic writing instruction, meaningful reading instruction, and building an equitable learning environment. In my spare time I enjoy reading queer YA novels, watching movies, agonizing over UT football, and spending time with my dog, Ranger. I am thrilled to be joining the Lincoln community!

Hey Lynx,

I'm excited to teach science at Lincoln!  I grew up in North Carolina, went to Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, and fell in love with the PNW.  I got my masters in teaching at UW and have taught in Seattle, Salt Lake City, UT, and Charlottesville, VA.  When not teaching, I can be found mountain climbing, gardening, or experimenting with recipes.  I love a good experiment!
