Hello, my name is Jamie Haugen, and I am so excited to be a Physical Education and Health teacher at Lincoln High School! My goal is to provide an inclusive caring, nurturing learning environment/community with structure, clear learning objectives, tasks, and assessments. I continuously strive to search for innovative ideas in the health and physical education atmosphere, all while building positive professional relationships; teacher-student, student to student, teacher to parent culture. My classroom management philosophy.

I was born and raised in Mukilteo, WA and recently purchased a home with my partner in Marysville, WA. I have two wonderful children (21 and 15). I love spending time with my family, learning new things, sunshine, water, sports, camping, hiking, boating, music, weightlifting, seafood, and the Seahawks! I look forward to building a collaborative joyous community with you all.

Education: B.S in Health and Wellness from Kaplan University, MIT at Seattle Pacific University, MLL Seattle University. Endorsement in Corrective exercise through NASM, etc.

Jones, Lena

Language Arts & History Teacher

aljones1@seattleschools.org

I am an educator because I am lifelong learner, a voracious bookworm, and believe deeply in the power and potential of schools to act as catalysts of community, solidarity, creativity, and love. I studied Child & Adolescent Development, English Literature, and Humanities at San Jose State University while working in the nonprofit education sector. After graduation, I became a certified teacher who has taught English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math at the high school level. In addition to reading, I enjoy cooking, yoga, jazz, swimming, and writing, and I spend most of my time outside of school with my sisters, niblings, and pets!
