My name is Nicholas Bubb, and I am a Career and Technical Educator for Lincoln High School. I have been teaching high school for five years in subjects including Media Productions, Family Health, and Medical Careers. I am a father of four children with ages ranging; 17yrs, 12yrs, and a set of twins that are 8yrs.

I have a broad background in professional audio recording/prod. and visual editing for film. I completed my education at The Art Institute of Seattle in 2017, earning a B.S. in Audio Production Engineering. Professionally, I have been utilized for audio and video editing for television, radio, music production, corporate media, and short documentary films. Prior to my career in media, I spent ten years in the US Army as a combat medic and licensed practical nurse (68W-M6). I was deployed for over 26-months during my two-tours of combat to Taji, Iraq (2006) and Kandahar, Afghanistan (2009). I held many leadership positions in my time in the Army, but most notably, was my role as the Ward Master/Assistant Nurse Manager for ICU-West at Madigan Army Medical Center (2010-2013).

Building mentors and future leaders is an honor and I believe that it is through integrity, for both teachers and students, in which this is accomplished. I am committed to ensuring that the students are provided a strong role model to emulate and a safe space to reside when needed. I am looking forward to growing professionally in this community and embarking on all opportunities ahead.

Cory Campbell hated history class in high school. It was only as a young adult in college that he learned  that history is more than boring facts and dates, that it is an account of what happened, constructed by historians through analyzing and evaluating evidence, and it’s super interesting and important.

Over the past 18 years, Cory has taught English as a foreign language in Madagascar, preschool in Ballard, and High School Social Studies at Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines, WA.  He endeavors to help students see how history shaped their identity and empower them to make the world a more just and joyful place. Cory enjoys playing and watching soccer (Go Sounders! Come on You Spurs!), reading, and listening to and playing music. In another life he would have been a composer.

My name is Emma Campbell (she/her). I have been teaching at Lincoln High School since 2020. I teach Language Arts and Journalism and love exploring texts and helping publish The Lincoln Log. I hold a BA in English and an MS in Curriculum & Instruction and have taught in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Washington.

When I’m not teaching, I love reading, exploring Seattle bookstores and restaurants, playing volleyball, and cheering on the Seattle Sounders with my husband Kyle.

Stephen Culpepper has been teaching high school math since 2016, previously at Redmond High School. He is thrilled at the unique opportunity to be a part of Lincoln High's reopening, and looks forward to the coming year. After graduating from Western Washington University with a B.S. in Mathematics and minor in Music, returned to WWU to get his Masters in Teaching and make education his career. Stephen enjoys being a student as well as a teacher, and can usually be found in a class of some sort during his time off in the summer, either studying more math, or learning about other STEM subjects. As well as teaching, Stephen has been a high school basketball coach over the past few years, and is excited to be a part of the Lincoln basketball program. Outside of education, Stephen enjoys going to the movies with his wife, playing music, basketball, and spending time with friends and family.

My name is Anthony D’Amico and I am a Social Studies and Language Arts teacher here at Lincoln High School. I have been a teacher for about seven years now in Indonesia, Singapore, China, and now Seattle. I received my B.A. from Central Washington University in History with a minor in International Studies and began my career shortly thereafter. I received a Masters degree from the Singapore University of Social Sciences in Social Development and Community Leadership and worked for an NGO in Indonesia before coming back to Seattle and earning a Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington.

I believe that history and the social sciences are as important as ever. We live in a multicultural democracy and I want to cultivate a sense of civic mindedness in my students where we learn from and advocate for each other especially those experiencing injustice or discrimination. I love being in and around schools because there is so much energy, excitement, and potential. I am extremely happy to be at Lincoln where we all have an opportunity to create a long-lasting culture that connects our community to other ones in the city, state, country, and world. As an advocate and community member I cannot wait to help our students connect with ideas both locally and internationally.

My name is Sime (in Persian: visage, face, look) Daad (in Persian: justice, also quite ironically: outcry!). I joined Lincoln HS since its re-opening in 2019 where I have truly enjoyed working in a dynamic environment with such a friendly and collaborative team, and such a great body of students. Born in Iran, I earned my BA major in English language and literature, a minor in French, and a master’s degree (ELA) from Tehran University in 1981. I was married in the 1970s. My husband and I have brought up three wonderful children (a son and two daughters), two of whom are married, giving us four lovely grandchildren. While our married son and daughter do not live in the US, our youngest daughter lives in Bellevue.

I have been an educator for three-plus decades, a published author and translator, and a certified interpreter. I am fluent in Persian and English, know some French, basic Arabic, and beginner Spanish. Early in the 1980s, I got a permanent position with the Department of Education (Iran) as a high-school teacher while also teaching English academic writing, EFL, and literature courses at higher education institutes as an invitee instructor. In the 1990s, I transferred to Tehran international High School where I served as an IB (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program) teacher of English language arts for ten years, and simultaneously as an IB coordinator for five years and been an examiner (English) as well as a principal examiner (Persian Lit) with them to date.  In 2003 I was admitted to UW to pursue my doctoral degree in comparative literature, a goal that I had postponed for over two decades for family reasons.

At UW, I taught Persian and English language courses, Persian literature and film as a TA, and then introductory courses to comparative literature (2003-2013) as a lecturer. Before joining Seattle Public Schools in 2017, I taught courses of English language including academic writing and immersion English at Highline CC, Shoreline CC, Edmonds CC, CityU, and the International Program at UW. In the meantime, I worked as a certified medical and social interpreter /translator for a few years.

Aside from working in education, I have published several essays, reviews, and textual analyses on world literature and language teaching in Persian and English. Among my published books, there is a translation of Jerome McGann’s Modern Textual Criticism released in 2007, and an encyclopedic bilingual dictionary of literary concepts and movements from a comparative perspective (A Glossary of Literary Concepts). The book has been well-received by academic audiences in Iran and has gone through three revised editions and ten reprints, including the recently enlarged edition released in Nov. 2021.  In English, aside from multiple conference papers, I have published a book chapter (“Accented Texts”) drawn upon my doctoral dissertation.

Working at high school brought me back to my original home as an educator. The positive vibe from the Lincoln community inspires me with the passion not only to drive several miles a day to work but also (hopefully) to go LYNX for many more years!!

Personal Message

Hi my name is Greg Dorow and I am excited to support Lincoln High School as the athletic trainer through Seattle Children’s Hospital Sports Medicine & Orthopedics. I look forward to helping prevent, evaluate, manage, and triage sports related injuries. I am excited to work closely with our teen health center and school nurse to coordinate care and make health care accessible to all our student athletes.

I am a member of the National Athletic Training Association and have a background in exercise physiology and prescription. Prior to my time at SCH, I have worked with a variety of sports teams at the youth, high school, and semi-pro levels. I am a proud graduate of Luther College in Decorah, IA and a former college Cross Country and Track & Field runner. I enjoy spending time outdoors being active with hiking, traveling, and triathlon training. I look forward to getting to know and support the Lincoln community.

Personal Message

I am proud to be joining the Lincoln High School team. I have worked in education the last 15 years serving as teacher, activities coordinator, and administrator at both the middle and high school levels. Most recently I served four years as the Assistant Principal at Renton High School prior to starting in my new role as Assistant Principal of Lincoln on July 1, 2018.

My educational background includes both my undergraduate and graduate studies at Western Washington University with a primary teaching endorsement in the Social Studies. In addition to my teaching I have worked with the state Principal Association (AWSP) in developing and delivering leadership curriculum for our state-wide leadership camps and moved into the building leadership capacity with a strong belief in equity and providing as many opportunities for every student to achieve.

I am a family man, love the outdoors, and a die-hard Seahawks fan! I am looking forward to my work with Lincoln High community!

Personal Message

Hi my name is Twinnet and I am excited to be joining the Lincoln staff as an assistant secretary. I have one son, like playing sports and enjoy gospel music and other types of music. I also like the outdoors, taking walks, fishing, camping, and fast cars.

I have been teaching visual arts for over 20 years. I teach Drawing and Painting, AP Studio Art and Ceramics at Lincoln. My first three years I taught visual art at a high school in Colorado and I have also worked with middle school students in West Seattle. I have a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University, and my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Seattle University. I have worked as a Teacher Leader at the district level to help develop scope, sequence, and assessments for visual arts focused on State Standards and 21st Century Skills.

I believe a strong arts program; with access for all students, I help facilitate students to discover and enhance their creativity to become contributing members of our ever-changing world. I love teaching. I love working with students, teachers, and parents to foster an art program that encourages a love and respect for the arts that reflects the importance of culture and community. As a community member, parent and arts advocate in the Seattle Public School system I am thrilled to grow and foster a strong art program for Lincoln High School for years to come.
