I’ve been teaching US History in various forms (AP, General and Ethnic Studies) at Roosevelt since 2006. I have been teaching Health since 2015. I love to mix travel and learning. In I have been a part of the Hands for a Bridge program since 2008, leading several student trips to Northern Ireland and South Africa where I have had the opportunity to develop friendships with teachers and learn from each community. In 2016, I spent the summer in India on a Fulbright-Hays Program studying sustainability and social change. I traveled to the Mississippi Delta through the National Endowment for the Humanities to study culture and Civil Rights in 2017. I earned my BA in History and Teaching Certificate at Western and my Masters in Literacy and Health/Fitness endorsement at SPU.
