Special Education Teacher
tmmead@seattleschools.orgI am a proud father and teacher. I love the teamwork aspect of public school. Watching kids gain confidence and grow as young people is the most special aspect of my job. Science should be a fun learning experience. I am an avid fly fisher and am always up for adventures that include learning about the wonders of our world.
I have the privilege and opportunity of spending time with wonderful young learners. I take this responsibility seriously and will do my best to provide an engaging and interesting educational experience for your students.

Hi! I'm Shelly Landschulz, and I teach 5th grade at Blaine K8. I am originally from Chicago, but I've lived in Seattle for 20 years with my husband and three kids. This is my 13th year teaching, but only my 2nd year at Blaine. I've taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades in Chicago, Snohomish, Shoreline, and Seattle (Cascadia/Decatur). Science is my favorite subject to teach, especially physics! When I'm not teaching, I enjoy running, gardening, reading, sewing, movies, and travelling with my family. I'm so happy to be a Blaine Tiger!

kykypreos@seattleschools.orgI grew up in the VERY small town of Gold Bar, Washington (if you're in 7th grade Washington state history class you'll hear all about it) and moved to Seattle to attend Seattle Pacific University. I've been in Seattle ever since and have taught middle school at Blaine since 2001. I love teaching middle schoolers and I love teaching ELA and history!
I am privileged to be the American mom to 4 amazing young women (and grandma to three grandkids). My daughters came to the US as refugees from Somalia and Eritrea. When I'm not at school, I enjoy hiking and camping with my husband, working in my garden, reading while sipping a latte, and crafting.
