Dr. Christopher T. F. Hanson (They/Them) has been a professional musician and educator for more than 15 years. They have taught in both public and private instituions, serving students from middle school to graduate school. They work with a number of state, national, and international organizations that support and promote the arts in education. Dr. Hanson has spent a considerable amount of their career working with community music programs and currently serves as the artistic director of the Rainbow City Orchestra. Robert Gardner serves in multiple schoolwide leadership roles at Roosevelt High School, supporting students, staff, and families across academic, behavioral, and operational systems. He is committed to building a school environment where every student feels known, supported, and challenged to achieve at high levels.
Before stepping into administration, Robert taught mathematics in Seattle, New York, and within King County Juvenile Detention, focusing on expanding access to rigorous instruction and creating inclusive, relationship-centered classrooms. His work is grounded in the belief that strong systems and strong relationships together create the conditions for student success.
Robert is a Navy submarine veteran, which is what first brought him here to the Pacific Northwest. Outside of school, Robert enjoys backpacking, playing guitar, golf, and spending time with his family.
