Brad joined the SPS Science team from Denny International Middle School, where he was a 7th grade science teacher for five years. He has a BA in Chemistry and a Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington, where he was also a Leonore Annenberg Fellow with the Woodrow Wilson Foundation.
While on the SPS Science team, Brad has worked on systems for teacher support utilizing Microsoft Teams and assessment solutions on Schoology. He has supported teachers in their mission to employ effective assessments in the classroom by developing tools to streamline grading and provide immediate and individualized student feedback. This year, he will be managing the integration of new digital solutions to support student assessments.
Brad believes that when utilized appropriately, educational technology can be a powerful tool for ensuring that ALL students have equal and equitable access to science learning. He also believes that the right video games can support students’ development of critical 21st century skills.
