Education: University of Wyoming, B.A. Secondary Science Education; University of Utah, Master of Legal Studies
How I Got Into Education: My wife convinced me to take an education class in college when I couldn’t decide on a new major. I had to teach a lesson at a middle school for the class. When a student finally understood mitosis after teaching him one-on-one, that light bulb moment for him turned into a passion for me.
Hobbies: I like exploring the outdoors with my wife and two boys. I am also interested in mycology and would like to be more involved in mushroom foraging. I like to bake bread, ferment food, and learn about self-sufficiency. I also love basketball, reading, watching television, and playing Nintendo Switch.
