Hi, I'm Elly! I moved to Seattle from rural North Carolina and have since held many different roles in a number of schools. I have worked at the preschool, elementary, middle and high school levels and I love working with kids at every age! I particularly love when I get to support students through difficult emotions. Outside of school, I like to go on outdoor adventures with my dog.

I am honored and excited to be joining Lincoln High School! Although I was born and raised in Chicago, my family has made Seattle our home.  I have been in education for the past 15 years serving as a paraeducator, teacher, interventionist at both middle and high school levels.  Most recently I served as a Dean of Students in the Highline Public School District.

My educational journey in the PNW began as a special education teacher in the Bellevue School District.  As I continued my growth in education it led me to the University of Washington and receiving my masters in Educational Leadership.  From there I spent 3 years in the Highline School District as a dean of students. I am thrilled to be here at Lincoln High and I am dedicated to creating a learning community that is accessible and empowering for every student.  My hopes that all Lincoln students feel seen, heard, and loved throughout their journey at LHS and beyond! I love spending time with my wife and two kids, all things football (BOTH the Chicago Bears and Seahawks), and have a love for comic books. I look forward to meeting and working with the Lincoln High community!

I am thrilled to join the Lincoln High School team for the 2023/2024 school year. Over fifteen years, I have had the privilege of first teaching and later serving as an administrator in both private and public schools, with students ranging from preschool to graduate school. Away from school, you can find me baking, playing ukulele, painting, and cherishing quality moments with my husband and our demanding cat. I’m an avid baseball and hockey fan but love to cheer for all of our Seattle teams. I am excited for the year ahead and the opportunity to support and serve our students, staff, and school community.
