Wishing You a Joyful Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day

Summary : A message from Superintendent Podesta

Dear SPS Students, Staff, and Families,

In this season of gratitude, I want to share a heartfelt thanks to the Seattle Public Schools community. As we prepare to gather with family and friends over this holiday break, I am reminded of how grateful I am to serve alongside each of you.

I am thankful for our students who inspire us every day with their curiosity and hard work. I am also thankful to our teachers and staff for their incredible dedication to teaching and supporting every learner. I am sincerely grateful to our families for trusting us with your most precious gift – your children. Everything we do is for our students.

I want to extend my appreciation to our community partners who work with us to make our schools stronger in support of students. With your partnership, we are able to provide students with the learning environments they deserve.

Seattle is a community that cares deeply about the future of our students. Thank you for believing in our schools and helping us create learning environments where every child can thrive.

On behalf of Seattle Public Schools, I wish you and your loved ones a safe, joyful, and restful holiday.

With gratitude,

Fred Podesta
Superintendent
