Superintendent Search: Community Engagement Survey Now Available

Summary : The Seattle School Board has launched a national superintendent search.

Community Engagement Survey Now Available

Dear Seattle Public Schools Community,

I’m writing to share an important update as we take the next step in our search for the next superintendent of Seattle Public Schools.

The Seattle School Board has launched a national superintendent search in partnership with the executive search firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA). Community input will help shape the leadership profile that guides selection.

The Superintendent Search Community Engagement Survey opens Friday, May 23 and is available in English, Spanish, Amharic, Somali, Chinese, and Vietnamese. The survey will close on June 30.

This survey kicks off a broader community engagement process. In partnership with HYA, we will offer a series of virtual and in-person engagement opportunities for students, families, staff, and community members to share their voices directly.

We will share specific dates and more information about these upcoming engagement opportunities next week. Interpretation in American Sign Language and our top 5 spoken languages will also be available at all family, student, and community sessions.

To learn more about the superintendent search and stay informed about future updates, please visit the Superintendent Search webpage

Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support. We look forward to hearing from you.

Warmly,

Bev Redmond
