Seattle Promise Scholarship Application is Open

Summary: The Seattle Promise Scholarship is open through Feb. 17, 2023.

A Promising Future: Scholarship offers students a free path to higher education

The Seattle Promise Scholarship increases access to college for students, particularly those from underrepresented groups. The scholarship is open to all SPS graduates and provides up to two years or 90 credits of tuition at Seattle Central College, North Seattle College, or South Seattle College.

All SPS graduates are eligible to apply for the Seattle Promise Scholarship, regardless of GPA, income, ability, or country of birth.

Free tuition is just the beginning. Help with other school-related expenses such as books, childcare, food, housing, and transportation is also available. As part of the program, students also have access to year-round support services to help them succeed, including advising, transfer assistance, and long-term career planning.

Once enrolled in the program, students will attend two events – Readiness Academy and Summer Bridge.

Readiness Academy is a one-day event held in May or June where students can meet Seattle Promise peers and get help registering for classes. Summer Bridge helps students learn about campus life and introduce them to instructors, staff, and resources.

The application for Fall 2023 is now open and due by Feb. 17, 2023.
