Ingraham students spend a day focused on wellbeing, belonging, and building a stronger school community
On Thursday, Oct. 22, Ingraham High School welcomed 9th and 10th grade students to the Possibility Festival, a full-day event focused on supporting student mental wellbeing, fostering meaningful connections, and strengthening school community.
The Possibility Festival is designed to help students build practical skills for navigating challenges, managing stress, and developing healthy relationships. Through its CLAP framework, which stands for Connecting, Learning, Altruistic Giving, and Play, the program encourages students to explore ways they can support their own wellbeing while also contributing positively to their school community.
Throughout the day, students participated in activities facilitated by Possibility Festival staff in partnership with Ingraham educators. Students also viewed an educational documentary and engaged in discussions and experiences designed to promote self-reflection, connection, and belonging.
The event supports Ingraham’s ongoing efforts to increase student engagement, strengthen school culture, and improve attendance by helping students feel more connected to their peers, school, and community. Research consistently shows that students who feel a sense of belonging at school are more likely to be engaged in learning and experience positive academic and social outcomes.
By creating opportunities for students to build relationships, develop resilience, and practice healthy coping strategies, Ingraham continues its commitment to supporting the whole student and fostering an environment where every learner can thrive.
