SPS Athletics Coaching Opportunities

Athletic participation is a great opportunity for our students to include as part of their academic careers and preparation for life after graduating high school. Your desire to work with student athletes in developing a well-rounded athletic team is what helps make this possible.

There is a process to fully vet you prior to working in any capacity within Athletics with our District. If you have questions or would like further information, email Kalani Igarta: kpigarta@seattleschools.org.

Volunteer Athletic Coach

If you are interested in volunteering with an athletic program – regardless of your involvement with the District, please communicate with your school Athletic Director (HS)/Coordinator (MS) BEFORE applying.

Volunteers are required to APPLY ANNUALLY.

Please note fingerprints are required and should be through OSPI (not WATCH or Sterling Volunteers). A current CPR & First Aid certificate as well as completion of several trainings.
