Music During Summer Break

Summer Music is postponed another year due toCOVID-19. We want toprovideastrongandconsistentprogramforallofourstudentsand families,however, healthand safety guidance for learning and the performing artscontinue to change. While we are disappointed at not providingSummerMusic this year, the healthand safety of students, families, and teachers isof utmost importance. We hope to welcome back students to theprogramandprovidethisopportunityinSummer2022!

 

SummerMusicOverview

The Summer Music Program is a way for students tocontinue their musiclearningduringthesummermonths.Theprogramisdesignedforstudentsentering grades 5-9 (fourth gradecompleted). Students must havecompletedat least one year of instrumental instruction. Teachers arecertificated publicschoolmusicteachers.

 

SeattleAll-CityBand

Establishedin1951bySeattlePublicSchools,All-CityBandhasareputationforexcellenceinmusiceducation,studentleadership,andentertainment.

ThebandbringstogetherstudentsfromschoolsthroughoutthegreaterSeattle area to entertain in upwards of20 parades and communitycelebrationseachsummer.

Whileprogramspecificsarecurrently uncertainduetothechangingnatureof state and local COVID-19 guidance andvaccine rollout, students canregisterfor Summer 2021. Tuition will not be collected until the program isfinalizedandcommunicatedtothosewhohaveregistered.Theprogramasksthatstudentsregisterassoonaspossiblesotheycanplanforthesummer.
