2025-26 Annual Reports to the School Board

As part of its oversight function, the Board requires staff to produce reports on a variety of topics over the course of the year. These reports are detailed in numerous Board policies. Some of these reports are in writing; some are oral reports to committees or at a Board meeting. 


2025-26 Board Resolutions

  • Resolution 2025/26-01 – Certifying that the John Marshall School Modernization and Addition project named in the project application submitted to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction will not create or aggravate racial imbalance within the District Boundaries.
  • Resolution 2025/26-02 – Authorizing participation in Washington state’s shared rosters program.
  • Resolution 2025/26-03 – Certification of Excess Levies and Calculation of General Fund Levy Rollback for 2026.
  • Resolution 2025/26-04 – Resolving that those persons newly elected on November 4, 2025, to the Seattle School District Board of Directors be designated to attend the Annual Conference of the Washington State School Directors’ Association, to be held November 20-22, 2025, as representatives of the district.
  • Resolution 2025/26-05 – Certifying that the District intends to utilize the General Contractor Construction Manager (GC/CM) project delivery method established under Washington’s Alternative Public Works statute (Chapter 30.10 RCW ) for the following school construction project, as required by Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) D-5 Application for the John Marshall School Modernization and Addition project.
  • Resolution 2025/26-08 – Certifying the proposed Building Excellence (BEX) V/BEX VI Aki Kurose Middle School Modernization and Addition project be completed according to the purposes for which state funding assistance is being provided.
  • Resolution 2025-26-09 – Certifying the proposed Building Excellence (BEX) V/BEX VI Aki Kurose Middle School Modernization and Addition project for Five (5) Year Use/Thirty (30) Year Life.
  • Resolution 2025/26-10 – Authorizing Ben Shuldiner, Superintendent; Fred Podesta, Chief Operations Officer; Kurt Buttleman, Assistant Superintendent of Finance; and Richard Best, Executive Director of Capital Projects, Planning & Facilities Operations to sign on behalf of the Seattle School District No.1 in matters pertaining to state assistance for school construction.
  • Resolution 2025/26-11 – Accepting the Building Commissioning Report by Keithly Barber Associates for the Funded BEX V Program, John Rogers Elementary School Replacement project as part of the OSPI D-11 Application to Release Retainage.
  • Resolution 2025/26-13 – Certifying the Viewlands Elementary School Replacement project as complete.
