1111 Oath of Office

Each newly elected, re-elected, or appointed Director shall take an oath or affirmation to support the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Washington and the laws of the State of Washington and to faithfully discharge the duties of the office to the best of their ability.

The oath or affirmation must be endorsed by and sworn to before an officer authorized to administer oaths. School officials are authorized to administer all oaths or affirmations pertaining to their respective offices. After the oath or affirmation is made, it will be filed with King County.

The oath will be given during the first official meeting after the election results are certified, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
