Monthly visits from Ingraham’s jazz band are helping middle school students explore opportunities, build relationships, and envision their future in high school
Music has a unique way of bringing people together, and that’s exactly what’s happening through a growing partnership between Ingraham High School and its neighboring middle schools.
Throughout the school year, members of Ingraham’s jazz band have been visiting area middle schools each month to build relationships with students, strengthen school connections, and provide a glimpse into the opportunities that await them in high school.
During a recent visit to Robert Eagle Staff Middle School, Ingraham musicians met with students, shared their passion for music, and helped future high schoolers learn more about the experiences available through high school performing arts programs.
The visits offer more than just a musical performance. They provide an opportunity for middle school students to connect with older peers, ask questions about high school life, and see firsthand how involvement in school activities can enrich their educational experience.
By creating meaningful connections before students transition to high school, the program helps foster a sense of community and belonging while introducing students to the many ways they can engage, learn, and grow beyond the classroom.
Ingraham’s jazz band is grateful to Zachary Stowell and the Robert Eagle Staff team for welcoming students and supporting these ongoing visits.
Through music, mentorship, and collaboration, these monthly visits are helping students build connections, explore opportunities, and look forward to the next chapter of their educational journey.
One performance at a time, Ingraham students are helping future Rams feel welcome and excited about what’s ahead.
