Ingraham High School is excited to announce a new partnership that will expand world language and cultural learning opportunities for students across North Seattle.

Through a grant from the Korean Education Center in Seattle, a program of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, Ingraham High School is partnering with OneWorld Now! to offer an after-school Korean language class. Open to high school students throughout North Seattle, the program will provide opportunities to learn Korean, participate in cultural exchange, and earn world language credit.

The partnership was recently celebrated during a visit that brought together Ingraham Principal Zack Elvig, Assistant Principal Michael Wheatley, social studies teacher Noah Zeichner, and Yongwook Lee, Director of the Korean Education Center in Seattle.

The new program reflects Ingraham’s ongoing commitment to expanding educational opportunities and helping students build the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. Through language learning and cross-cultural engagement, students will have the opportunity to broaden their perspectives, strengthen communication skills, and deepen their understanding of diverse cultures and communities.

Founded in Seattle in 2002, OneWorld Now! empowers young people through global education opportunities that combine world language learning with leadership development. The organization is committed to expanding access to educational experiences that help students build cultural understanding, critical thinking skills, and the confidence to engage with people and perspectives from around the world.

Together, Ingraham High School, the Korean Education Center in Seattle, and OneWorld Now! are creating new pathways for students to engage in meaningful learning beyond the traditional school day. This collaboration highlights the value of community partnerships in expanding educational opportunities and helping students connect with the wider world.
