The Education Quest application for Summer 2026 is now open!

The Education Quest internship pairs high school students with elementary summer school locations, where they work as interns supporting and supervising younger students in a safe, positive learning environment. Interns should have an interest in social-emotional learning, community building, and collaboration with teachers and instructional assistants.

Responsibilities include assisting with basic academic skills, explaining concepts in an age-appropriate way, helping in classroom, and modeling respectful behavior. Breakfast will be provided daily and students have the option to stay for lunch or take lunch to go each day. 

Pay: $21.30 per hourmust be 16 or older by 6/29/26 (United States work authorization paperwork required including W4, I-9 and social security number)

  • Paperwork Orientation Dates: May 2, 10:00am-2:00pm at JSCEE (2445 3rd Ave S) and others, TBD
  • Training (paid): June 24, 9:00am-3:00pm at JSCEE (2445 3rd Ave S)
  • Dates: June 29– July 31, 2026 
  • Internship Time (paid): 7:15am to 11:15am, Monday through Friday 
  • Class Time (unpaid): 11:15am-12:15p,, Monday through Thursday 
  • Locations – students can select 2 regions and will be place at one:
    • North – James Baldwin Elementary School, Olympic Hills Elementary School, John Hay Elementary School 
    • Central – Montlake Elementary School, Bailey Gatzert Elementary School 
    • Southeast – Dunlap Elementary School, John Muir Elementary School, Kimball Elementary School, Wing Luke Elementary School
    • Southwest – Highland Park Elementary School, Roxhill Elementary School 

Preferred Deadline March 20, 2026 with rolling acceptances until all internship positions are filled.
