Posting this information does not guarantee that these scopes will be formally bid or awarded. Final bid opportunities and contract awards will be issued directly by the contractor once scopes are confirmed. All information is provided for transparency and outreach purposes only.

Participation and Equity

Seattle Public Schools, Sellen Construction, and the project team strongly encourage participation from certified Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE), Small Business Enterprises (SBE), and Emerging Businesses, including non-union and community-based firms. All qualified firms are welcome to express interest.

Firms may also review certification resources or apply for MWBE certification through the Washington State Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE).

Compliance Requirements

The subcontractor must comply with all SCWA obligations: workforce reporting, recordkeeping, training, prevailing wage, and hiring requirements.


Potential Scope of Work: Casework

Target Installation Date: January 2027

Sellen Construction is seeking interest from qualified firms for the potential subcontracting opportunity covering Architectural Wood Casework as part of the Memorial Stadium Redevelopment Project.

Scope includes:

  • Furnishing and installing upper and lower casework systems per project specifications.
  • Preparing and submitting shop drawings, LEED/sustainability documentation, and required submittals.
  • Procuring materials from the specified manufacturer (Wilsonart or approved equal).
  • Coordinating with other trades and completing installation per approved drawings and manufacturer recommendations.

Please note: This work is subject to the Student and Community Workforce Agreement (SCWA), including prevailing wage compliance, certified payroll, workforce participation, and reporting requirements.


Potential Scope of Work: Acoustical Panel Ceilings

Target Start Date: October 2026

This scope covers the installation of continuous wall-to-wall acoustical panel ceiling systems as indicated on the drawings.

Scope of Services:

  • Provide required submittals and shop drawings for review prior to procurement.
  • Furnish and install acoustical ceiling panels and suspension systems (hangers, runners, tees, wall angles, trims).
  • Procure materials from a single approved manufacturer (basis of design: Armstrong Ceiling and Wall Solutions).
  • Coordinate layout with other trades; install per ASTM C636, manufacturer’s instructions, and approved plans.
  • Provide LEED documentation, attic stock (5% panels, 2% suspension components), and final installation per specifications.

Materials:

  • Manufacturer: Armstrong Ceiling and Wall Solutions
  • Product: Ultima 2×2 Acoustic Panels; Clean Room VL 868 Unperforated

Potential Scope of Work: Flooring

Target Installation Date: October 2026

This scope covers the installation of multiple flooring systems, including carpet tile, resilient base, walk-off carpet tile, epoxy coating, and sealed concrete.

Scope of Services:

  • Provide required submittals and shop drawings prior to procurement.
  • Furnish and install flooring systems per plans and specifications.
  • Submit all LEED/sustainability documentation and coordinate with other trades.
  • Complete installation per manufacturer recommendations and approved drawings.

Materials:

  1. Tile Carpeting – J+J Flooring, 24”x24” carpet tile, Finish: Metamorphic – Limestone (approx. 5,620 SF)
  2. Resilient Base – Johnsonite Duracove Thermoplastic Rubber, 4” cove base (Finish TBD)
  3. Walk-Off Carpet Tile – J+J Flooring, Incognito Modular, Color: 1837-Operative (approx. 165 SF)
  4. Epoxy Coating – Desco, Trowel or Strata-Applied Resin, Color: Caldera, Orange Peel Texture (approx. 2,677 SF)
  5. Sealed Concrete – Master Builders, ChemMasters, Euclid Chemical Co., Laticrete, SpecChem, Clear water-based finish (approx. 70,000 SF)
