Welcome to the Plans and Programs Office!

Who We Are

  • The Plans and Programs Office (PPO) at Seattle Public Schools is dedicated to leading and managing key academic and technology initiatives to drive the district’s strategic priorities forward.
  • As subject matter experts in strategic planning and initiative implementation, the department oversees a range of impactful programs and projects, providing leadership with insightful reporting and mentoring for Project Managers and Strategic Business Analysts.

What We Do

  • This office is instrumental in identifying and bringing essential programs and processes to life, ensuring they align with the district’s strategic goals and day-to-day operational needs.
  • By advocating for district-wide use of project management best practices and integrating improvement initiatives into the organizational culture, the Plans and Programs Office strengthens Seattle Public Schools’ commitment to process improvement.

Our Departments

Enterprise Project Management Office

The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), provides leadership and support for portfolio, project, and program management across Seattle Public Schools.

As a centralized hub, the EPMO collaborates with all SPS departments to enhance and streamline project management practices, equipping teams with the resources, skills, and expertise they need.

Change Management is a function within the Plans and Programs Office. We provide leadership and support for change management across Seattle Public Schools (SPS).

Our work focuses on implementing standardized methodologies, tools, and processes to improve how we manage portfolio, project, and program changes to benefit our students, families, and staff.

Digital Equity

Digital Equity is another function within the PPO office. It exists when all individuals and communities have the information technology capacity needed for shared ownership of and full participation in our society, democracy, and economy.

ServiceNow is an application the District uses to manage the design, creation, and delivery of IT services to staff, students, and parents. ServiceNow is used to enhance SPS project management with standardized methods, tools, processes, and reporting.
