Student Spring 2022 SBA Assessment Results

The Spring 2022 Smarter Balance Assessment (SBA) achievement levels are now available in The Source. Learn how to access The Source.

The SBA outcomes are one indicator of how a student has met their previous grade-level standards. The SBA is given to students who are in grades 3–8 and 10. Read more about the SBA.

The Spring 2022 assessment was designed to reflect the current state of in-person education.

The Spring 2022 SBA in English Language Arts/literacy and math includes the following sections for each content area:

  • A Computer Adaptive Test – an assessment that increases or decreases difficulty based on how the student answered the previous question.
  • Performance Task (PT) – an assessment that requires students to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding, and proficiency using different resources such as video, photographs, or newspaper articles.

Seattle Public Schools educators, school leaders, and staff are committed to partnering with you and your student(s) to help them succeed.

If you have questions about your student’s achievement levels, please contact their teacher, advisor, or school leader. If you have questions about the Spring 2022 SBA, send them to us with our Let’s Talk online form
