The Office of Fiscal Compliance & Grants is a
part of the Learning & Teaching Division. This department is
responsible for ensuring available funding matches identified
academic needs and that these funds are spent both responsibly and
compliantly. Specifically:
Fiscal
Compliance
Is responsible for division and program level budget development;
ongoing monitoring and adjustment of program budgets and
expenditures; coordinating, completing and submitting required
program applications and compliance reports; working with program
managers in developing and monitoring norms and operating
procedures; tracking, and where appropriate, shifting funding to
meet changing academic needs; and working with operations and
finance to ensure academic needs guide multiyear strategic budget
development.

Grants
Is
responsible for providing information on current funding
opportunities from federal, state and local resources; assisting in
the development, writing and submission of a grant application;
reviewing and/or modifying a proposed plan and line-item budget in
conjunction with the designated budget analyst; facilitating and
processing grant awards; assisting the program manager in
evaluating and reporting on the progress of the program in meeting
its stated goals, objectives and expenditure plans in compliance
with the funding agency; and providing grant management training to
the District's schools and
departments.
