Meeting Summary

1. Becky Kitzman and Elissa Farmer welcomed committee members and provided opening remarks.
2. The committee reviewed the meeting agenda and adoption timeline.
3. Committee members participated in an activity focused on establishing and reinforcing community norms.
4. The committee reviewed Board Policy 5251 and the RFP Step 1 Introductory Package: Proposal Evaluation Procedures for the Selection Committee. Committee members also signed the Conflict of Interest form.
5. The committee engaged in an activity to draft evaluation criteria for the five categories selected by the committee on August 29, 2026, and subsequently approved by the Instructional Materials Committee (IMC) on September 3, 2026.
6. The committee completed five of the six planned steps in the criteria-development activity and will finish the final step at the next meeting on September 19, 2026.
