At North Beach we
strive to nurture and empower all students to reach their full potential as learners
and citizens.
These are a few of the reasons to come to North Beach:
Our PTA
The North Beach PTA is incredibly supportive of the school and
staff. To learn more about the PTA and the amazing things they
do at North Beach, please visit the
PTA website. Read the Beachcomber, our PTA
Newsletter
here.
Spectrum Inclusion
Our certified Spectrum program offers an advanced learning
curriculum for eligible students in grades one through five.
The inclusion aspect of this program offers children who do not test
into Spectrum the opportunity to receive the advanced learning
curriculum.
All School Math
Block
Students in first through fifth grades are taught math based on
their ability, not their grade level. In addition to our
classroom teachers, we have three other teachers that take groups
for math instruction.
Full Time
Librarian/Technology Specialist
Students visit the library several times a week to hear stories,
check out books, and learn new technology skills.
The North Beach library has a computer lab with 32 workstations.
Award-winning Physical Education Program
Our P.E. teacher, Rett
Hartmann, has designed a physical education program that reaches well
beyond dodge ball and running laps. He incorporates
activities such as archery, bowling, unicycling,
rock climbing, lacrosse, biking, golf and roller skating to
name a few.
PTA Funded
Specialists
Our PTA-funds specialists in art and music to provide a well-rounded curriculum.
Kindergarten
We offer full-day kindergarten, but can accommodate half-day students. A sliding
fee scale is available. The fee is waved for students eligible for free or
reduced-price meals. There is no fee for half-day kindergarten. |
