Language Testing

Do you know a language besides English? Can you read and write it too?

World Language Credit Testing Information 2021-2022

For Seattle High School Students:

  1. Find out if you qualify and which tests to take
  2. Check with your school counselor about testing dates at your high school OR Register for World Language Credit Testing online. Testing is remote using Microsoft Teams. Some in person testing options may be available later this year.

Testing is sponsored for 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders in Seattle Public Schools.

To earn 1-4 world language credits in your language, how well can you do the following?

  • I can understand ideas on familiar topics expressed through phrases, short sentences, and frequently used expressions.
  • I can understand the main idea and some details in simple texts that contain familiar vocabulary.
  • I can exchange information with another person about familiar tasks, topics and activities.
  • I can use a series of phrases and sentences to provide basic information about familiar topics.
  • I can write simple descriptions and short messages and request or provide information on familiar topics.

Upcoming Test Dates: All Test Dates are on Saturdays

  • October 2, 2021

  • November 20, 2021
  • December 11, 2021
  • January 29, 2022
  • February 26, 2022
  • March 26, 2022
  • April 30, 2022

Location: This year testing will be offered remotely online using Microsoft Teams. In-person testing dates may be released later this year.
Note: Check with your school counselor. Your high school may offer testing at other times.
