    Superintendent

    Dr. Brent Jones, interim superintendent leads Washington state's largest K-12 school district, a vibrant and diverse community of 53,000 scholars. Read more on the superintendent webpage.

    Deputy Superintendent

    Superintendent Brent Jones has appointed Rob Gannon as the deputy superintendent for Seattle Public Schools. in May 2021. Gannon served previously as the general manager of King County Metro, transforming the agency and leading it to recognition as the nation's top transit agency in 2018. King County Metro Transit provides wide-ranging mobility services to residents in the metropolitan Seattle area. As the transit agency's chief executive officer, Gannon was accountable for all facets of the agency’s performance, leading the senior staff, and management of over 5,000 employees.

    Before joining King County, Gannon worked for the University of Montana in a series of senior positions, most recently as director of academic, budgets, and personnel. He reported to the provost, providing direct counsel and coordinating the efforts of the academic deans on budget and fiscal matters, human resource policy, and general administration issues affecting the state's leading university.

    Associate Superintendent

    Superintendent Brent Jones has appointed Dr. Concie Pedroza as associate superintendent effective June 2021. As associate superintendent, Dr. Pedroza will supervise the divisions of Schools and Continuous Improvement and Students Support Services. Merging these two divisions will strengthen alignment and integration of critical school and student supports. Dr. Concie Pedroza began her career as a classroom teacher over 25 years ago and later served as an elementary, K-8, and high school principal. A commitment to racial equity and educational excellence for all students center her leadership and instructional approach. Before this appointment, Dr. Pedroza served most recently as the district's chief of student support services leading the departments of Advanced Learning, Admissions, Enrollment Planning, Athletics, Special Education, and 504.

    Office of Strategy Deployment and Responsiveness Staff

    Carri Campbell, Assistant Deputy Superintendent

    For over a decade, Carri Campbell has led district-wide initiatives to better support Seattle Public Schools and make a positive difference in the lives of students and their families. She brings this expertise and commitment to her new role as an assistant deputy superintendent in the Office of Strategy Deployment and Responsiveness.

    Dr. Sarah Pritchett, Assistant Deputy Superintendent

    Dr. Sarah Pritchett is a leader in advancing racial equity through principal support and central office transformation. Dr. Pritchett will bring this experience and commitment to her new role as an assistant deputy superintendent in the Office of Strategy Deployment and Responsiveness.
