Calling All Seattle Public Schools High School Students!

The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board application window (SAB) for the 2020-2021 school year closed September 18

The SAB is made up of student leaders in grades 9-12 from each of the district's 17 high schools. Now, more than ever, we need YOUR voice at the table to share what your school communities need and how we can better support students. We also need your voice and feedback on SPS priorities as we focus on educational equity and centering students furthest from educational justice.

Through participating on the Student Advisory Board, you will have the opportunity to work alongside Superintendent Juneau and other district leaders and practice your leadership, policy making, and collaboration skills alongside a diverse community of peers.

The SAB application was open through September 18. The deadline to apply was extended form September 11 to September 18. Students furthest from educational justice, including students who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGQBTIA+, English Language Learners, undocumented, homeless/unhoused, foster, and students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

We look forward to learning more about you and bringing our students directly into the process of creating a more just education system in Seattle.
