Ribbon-cutting and Tour Celebrate New Home for Licton Springs K-8

Licton Springs K-8 students who are attending school in-person didn’t return to the building they left last spring. The school has a new home at the modernized and expanded Webster Building in Ballard. Earlier this year, teachers and staff moved in and unpacked in this beautiful historic building.

Now students are getting to know their new school, which includes a full-size library, gymnasium, lunchroom/commons, and covered play area.

This project was funded by the Buildings, Technology, and Academics IV Capital Levy (BTA IV), which was approved by Seattle voters in 2016.

Watch Superintendent Juneau, Director Dury, and Principal Butler as they cut the ribbon to celebrate the opening. The ceremony is followed by a virtual tour lead by Principal Butler and Head Teacher Dante Rhodes.
