    The district’s Public Affairs Media Operation Center (MOC) and Communications Department have been honored with six recent state, regional, and national recognitions.

    Please help us congratulate students, staff, and educators for their help in telling the powerful stories of Seattle Public Schools and our incredible community. Specifically, we would like to recognize the youth leaders featured in “I Am Native” and their role in making the lived experiences of our talented, successful Native American students visible:

    About the Communicator Awards: The Communicator Awards is the leading international creative awards program honoring creative excellence for communication professionals. Founded over two decades ago, The Communicator Awards is an annual competition honoring the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations, and identity work for print, video, interactive, and audio. The 25th Annual Communicator Awards received over 6,000 entries from ad agencies, interactive agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design firms, and public relations firms.     About the Best of the Northwest Award: The ACMNWR is an affiliate of the Alliance for Community Media, a national non-profit membership organization founded in 1976. The ACM represents over 3,000 Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) access organizations and community media centers throughout the country. The ACM works to protect the interests of community media centers (television, radio, and digital media) as well as those who use these facilities to advance their causes.     About the Washington School Public Relations Association's (WSPRA) and Media/Publication Awards: The WSPRA Communication Awards program recognizes creative and effective work in communications statewide. Entries are encouraged from all public and private schools or districts, including special schools such as vocational-technical institutes, regional or county education service districts, education agencies, and private enterprises serving as partners with those organizations.
